Shibori is a beautiful ancient Japanese dyeing technique, which dates back to the 8th century. It is a form of tie-dye, and can be used to create unique patterns on fabric.
Despite being very eye-catching, tie-dyeing has some inherent problems – colour fastness is not good, cost is high because it is a manual technique, and the same pattern cannot be replicated if wanted.
We can now recreate these patterns in digital printing or even using state-of-the-art screen printing. We use special techniques to recreate the Shibori look, which allow us to give a very realistic look, while keeping the products affordable, and the colour fastness good.
